NFL cheat sheet | How it works

The free weekly sheet of the softest NFL defenses by position, and how to read tiles and views.

The NFL cheat sheet is a one-page read on the week's player prop matchups. For every game it shows where each defense ranks softest against QBs, RBs, WRs and TEs, and the opposing players who line up there. It's free, no account needed.

Where is it?

On web, pick Cheat sheet from the NFL menu in the header. In the app, switch the league to NFL and tap the NFL cheat sheet card at the top of Explore.

How do the rankings work?

Each defense is ranked among all 32 teams on what it has allowed per position and stat this season. #32 means the most allowed, so a higher number is a softer matchup. Each team lists its five softest ranks.

Summary tiles

  • Softest overall: the defense with the most last-place ranks

  • Softest vs the run: the same, for run stats only

  • Softest vs WR: the same, for wide receiver stats

  • Games with a #32 rank: how many games on the slate have a defense ranked last in at least one stat

Game view and Player view

Game view lists every matchup by kickoff, with both defenses' softest ranks. Player view lists every target, softest matchup first, filterable by position. In the app they're called Games and Targets. The players shown lead their team in the matching stat. Tap one to open their props for that stat.

A soft rank shows where a defense has been weak. It isn't a projection for the player, so check his line and hit rates too. Each game has Save image to save it as a picture and Copy link. At the top, Save all images saves every game at once and Share sheet shares the whole page.

When does it update?

Weekly, once the previous week's stats settle. The sheet shows the date it was cut (Eastern Time).

Is it free?

Yes, the whole sheet. Opening a player's full prop analysis from it needs Premium, unless he's a free preview player.
